Bible story: Luke 24.36-53

This reflection on Jesus’ return and ascension focuses on Jesus’ blessing of peace to his friends whose initial reaction was fear. It is in the context of Christ’s peace that we are in fellowship with Christ and one another (v. 39-44), and are commissioned and empowered in the Holy Spirit (v. 48-49).

This song is written so that young people can sing along and enact the sharing of peace. I suggest a “sharing the peace” kind of action during the chorus, moving about the room shaking or touching hands.
