1 There’s a seed lying here in the soil,
A tiny seed lying here in the soil.

one can see.

2 One day the roots break out and dive down,
Growing deep to hold it in the earth
From the seed that’s lying there in the soil,

3 Soon a stem pokes up from the earth,
Springing up to sing a little song,
And the roots are growing deep to hold it in the earth,
From the seed that’s lying there in the soil,

4 Then little buds appear on the stem,
Which stretch into lively little shoots
From the stem that’s sprouted up to sing a little song,
